2008 for you. What's it going to be?
For me, it's going to be a great year, filled with change, challenges, and following Jesus as if nothing else matters. (I'm really trying for those three.)
Today at church, Dad talked about resolutions. Here's some really great ones:
1.Resolve to follow Jesus As If Nothing Else Matters.
2.Resolve NOT to Sweat The Things That Aren’t Important.
3.Resolve Not To Dilute Your Faith.
4.Resolve to See Change As A Chance To Grow!
5.Resolve to Pray With Passion!
Great resolutions to live by year-round, aye?
Whenever someone asks me if I have any New Year resolutions, I usually say something about not having any late library books, clean room, etc. Now I have some pretty sweet answers that will hopefully surprise and challenge anyone who asks!
Happy New Year!
Iced Peppermint Tea. Lovely.
15 days.
Today I got up at 2:55am, to go shopping at Kohls. Also, to take Sarah to work at 3:20am. It was so FUN!
The line of People waiting to go inside Kohls was simply amazing. It went all the way to the back of the parking lot, some people were still sitting in their cars, and other people were still coming.
Mum and I waiting over an hour and a half to just check out. There were SO many people.
We had a great time shopping, and got home around 6:30am.
Thanksgiving!
A fun time of the year, where we all stay home and pig out on excellent food. Last year, *sigh* we did it with the Misers. (16 days). This year, I made the green been casserole, fruit salad, and helped make the pumpkin pies. It was really fun!
Yesterday was Mum's birthday. It was really fun decorating the new house, and celebrating the last Spangler Family birthday for '07.
Happy Thanksgiving!
My favorite kind of noodle has to be tortellini. Sometimes it has little bits of cheese, or meat in it. We had some last night, and I ate the leftovers for lunch today. Yum!
Tonight Sarah and I are doing the Snack Shack at Faith Weaver Friends, at church. Bethany has F.L.I.P.T.
We're going to the Library in a little while to pick up some school books, just to let you know... :)
Tomorrow is Bethany's 11th birthday! It's going to be very fun celebrating with the family! Then the next day, our grandparents from eastern Washington are coming over!
53 days till the Misers get here!
Mmmm. Don't you just LOOOOVE Diet Coke? Yum yum! Though lately, I have become more attached to Diet Pepsi. Is there a difference? Maybe a little bit in the taste, but other than that, they taste the same to me. What's you're favorite drink? Coffee? Tea? Lemonade?
This is a pic I took down into the bottle of coke I finished off. Heh... Nummy.
Num num. Huge bacon-cheese-ham-pickle-onion rings-lettuce-tomato-red onions-BBQ sauce-apple wood bacon-burger. It was really good!
Today we got a fairly early start, and went to the beach. We walked around a lot, then went to eat lunch. After lunch, we rented a scooter thing. THAT was fun, tho a little scary. We rode that for about an hour, then drove the the very end of the island to a jetty. We had fun there, too! Hmmm... We stayed there for quite some time... I pulled my hair up..... :P After that we made our way back to the hotel, stopping by a few small shops on the way. We rested a little, then Mom, Bethany and I went to the pool. Of course, the first thing I went to was the Hot Tub. Mmmmmmm. Yay. Then I got in the pool. After that we went to eat dinner, then came back to the hotel again. And so, here we are! We're all resting, reading, blogging... ya know. Tomorrow we'll head back to home. Ta!
Yum! Tonight we are having steak. Grilled by the best! The best being Dad, of course. Today I did school, school, and a little bit more school. It was good tho. I got a lot done, and am catching up quickly.
I am SO glad for the weekend! I love weekends!
In Spanish today I had to write a letter to an old friend asking him/her to come fishing with me. It was kinda fun. :)
For English, I have to read the great piece of literature, Beowulf. ARGH! I really DO NOT like poetry. I suppose it's not my thing. I just don't do poetry. Just like I don't do fur.
Well, time for some yummy steak!
